David Friedman

David Friedman explores color as his metaphor for spirit.
For him, radical color is the aliveness, energy and pulse of life. 
David's art is about joy, appreciation and celebration.

Born in Chicago, his family moved to Minneapolis when he was 9
where he enjoyed carefree summers and long drab winters.
A new focus on color in early formative geometric constructions led him 
to an enduring and devoted embrace of Color as a “second language”.
 
An award-winning artist based in Kailua, Hawaii, his creative experience 
includes Graphic and Exhibit Design, Arts Advocacy, Video and Teaching. 
Recurring themes are Paths, Gardens, Mountains & Coastlines, Portraits 
& Illusion. He has produced logos, print media, murals, visual games, 
optical toys and animations as well as signage systems & supergraphics 
for offices, hotels & airports. 

Friedman's creative evolution is fueled by the dynamic, unpredictable matrix 
of Fine, Graphic & Media Arts on a creative continuum from Vermeer to VR.
